All BARWIS MMA Jiu-Jitsu Classes are performed at Sanford MMA gym, connected to the BARWIS Performance Center of Deerfield Beach, FL. The 10,000 square feet building features mats, cage panels, and an octagon.

Beginners/ Fundamentals -
Mon, Wed, Fri 6:30-7:30PM
Designed for beginner students to form a strong foundation for the art of Jiu-Jitsu while giving experienced students the opportunity to sharpen their basics. Each week will build upon the last and students will focus on learning offensive and defensive techniques for Jiu-Jitsu’s core basic positions. The class is one hour and will have time dedicated for instructional training and lower-intensity positional sparring.
Intermediate/ Drills -
Tues & Thurs 7:00-8:00PM
Designed for students with at least 6 months experience to learn the more complex positions of Jiu-Jitsu. These classes are a one-hour, high-repetition drilling session that focuses on technical submissions, guard passes, sweeps and takedowns. The higher-intensity drilling format pushes physical strength & conditioning while developing your Jiu-Jitsu skillset.
Advanced/ Sparring -
Mon, Wed, Fri 7:30-8:45pm
75 to 90 minute, high-intensity classes with focus on live sparring. These training sessions are a great tool for developing endurance and strength. The sparring format varies each class to keep training exciting, rewarding and challenging. Students must have at least 6 months experience to participate in the sparring classes.
For Kids (Ages 4-13)
Mon, Wed, Fri 5:00 - 6:00PM
Jiu-Jitsu will help your child build the most important qualities needed for life’s journey. Each class will develop confidence, discipline and perseverance while teaching your child self-defense. Jiu-Jitsu is a great way get kids away from the video games and keep them excited about physical activity that builds flexibility, strength, endurance and burns calories! BURNS BJJ has a huge focus on instilling ‘bully-proof’ principles with our students to help them stand up for themselves and others around them!
